Capturing this tree swallow coming out of its house was an unforgettable experience. We were thrilled when we discovered that our neighbor’s tree swallow had taken up residence in our birdhouse last spring.

On a chilly Saturday morning, before the sun had even risen, I set up my tripod and camera, eager for the first glimpse of these little birds. As the light slowly filled the sky, the tree swallows came to life, darting in and out of their new home. They were fast, never still for long, making it a challenge to get a sharp photo. But patience is part of the process, and after watching their playful antics, I finally captured a few incredible shots. This one is my favorite.
